After 30 percent lumen depreciation MaxLite considers the functionality of the lamp to be ended (end of life), even though the lamp is still at 70 percent of initial lumens.Housing: The body of each lamp is die-cast aluminum, which acts as a heat–sink to provide thermal heat conductivity. This keeps the LED junction temperature well below the manufacturer’s specification. The lamps stay cool and the lumens are maintained for longer life. Base: The G40 has a standard E26 base.
